The point is, there’s always a story. You just have to find it.
TV SHOW MEME: [1/5] tv shows → Castle

i’m watching old CM & remember when they gave the profile and showed the potential killer in the background. (I don’t know if you know what I mean) I miss this, they don’t do it anymore. 😣

So whatever happens, whatever you decide….
I love that he said “whatever happens, whatever you decide” before he asked her to marry him. He didn’t say ‘I want to marry you, but only if you turn down the job and stay here’. He wants to marry her, no matter what. He’s still letting her decide what she wants, he’s not using the proposal as a way to try and make her stay. He just knows that she’s his third time’s a charm and he wants to be her one and done.
No. Matter. What.
UGH. s o b b i n g
Marlowe, you beautiful scumbag
i love how he doesn’t make her choose between the job and him. He kinda makes it easier for her.
^^^ That is wat he has been doing for the past 5 years!
I loved it on principle, but I still kind of thought it was a dick move. I mean, what girl doesn’t dream of a proposal from a guy who’s too pissed at you to smile while he’s asking you to spend the rest of your life with him. Makes you swoon from the romance, that’s what it does. Even though he gave her an out first, it still reeks of desperation, so I’m honestly not sure what she’s going to say. If I were her, I’d say not right now, but ask me again soon. I really hope she says yes though.
See, I didn’t think he was too pissed to smile. I think he wasn’t smiling because he wanted her to know he was serious. Castle is the class clown, so to say, and he’s rarely without a grin on his face. So a straight face from him lets you know that he really wants you to hear what he’s saying, and know that it’s important. Would a smile have been more romantic? Perhaps. But I think the proposal was romantic in a different sense. What I saw here was a man in love, who is finally giving in to what he wants. He’s letting go of his fears and diving in head first, hopeful that she’ll dive in with him. I agree that he did it out of desperation, but I don’t think it was a bad thing. He’s saying ‘hey, I’m in this for the long haul, if you’ll have me, no matter where work or life takes you’. He is desperate, but not to try and make her stay or choose him over a job. He’s desperate to be with her, to spend his life with her. All things considered from the last few episodes and who Castle and Beckett are as individuals and as a couple, I think this was the perfect proposal.
^^ That.
neverleaveyourhands AGREED. Him being so dead serious, was exactly what Beckett needs. No more joking and pussyfooting around.
